About Us

SignaturePointe Home & Garden Accents is owned by Charlie Hartman and Tucker Johnson.  Charlie has been in the nursery business for over 27 years in the Treasure Valley and serves as manager.

How we started:

It started as a hobby for Charlie.  In 1976, a friend had asked for help in landscaping his new home. After taking a few courses in horticulture and landscape design at Boise State University, he and his friend landscaped their new home.  It was then that Charlie realized his passion for the nursery industry, so after completing his first landscape, he started a small landscape company working out of his back yard. In 1985, Charlie opened a retail nursery in Boise and eventually sold that company with the intentions of retiring.  This was not his only job.  He had spent 22 years in the banking industry and 20 years in the Army and Idaho Air National Guard.  He had retired a few years earlier from both those jobs.  During those years, he worked full time at a local bank, spent at least one weekend each month in the Army and then the Idaho Air National Guard and any available time that was left landscaping or at the nursery.

Within a short time after selling the nursery, Charlie became bored with retirement.   So he is now starting all over again. Charlie is an Idaho Certified Nurseryman and has been in the nursery and landscape business, both full and part-time for over 27 years.
